The Art of Covid

The images, stories and ART of a world-wide community experiencing a pandemic.

Thank You

Thank you for your support of The Art of COVID project, Inspired by the kindness and creativity of others, our goal for this project was to capture the images, stories and ART of our global community as a way to memorialize this extraordinary time in history. Through the sharing of your art and stories, you have helped to inspire and connect us all despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.

The Inspiration

Inspired by the kindness and creativity that prompted people to make masks for themselves, their loved ones, and strangers, we initiated a call for individuals to submit images, stories, and artwork to commemorate this unique period in our history.

We collaborated with our friends at the Virtual Funeral Collective, a group of specialists who work daily with issues related to dying, death, and grief. With the help of Collective members Betsy Trapasso and Dr. Candi K. Cann, we launched this platform and began accepting submissions.

We are now thrilled to host this collection for those interested in exploring these contributions. We hope it will serve as a meaningful resource and reflection on the collective expressions that emerged during the pandemic.

As a mother, I find it important to educate my children on the world we are living in during this pandemic. Making them aware of the importance of protecting themselves and others by wearing masks and social distancing. This is often very tough for them, they are still kids. So I try to find ways to make it a little less scary and more fun. If you're going to wear a mask, why not represent your house or dream of a galaxy far, far away!
